A new Piazza for GAMeC

The City Council approved the detailed design for the new Piazza Tiraboschi. The project regenerates the entire area surrounding the GAMeC Museum, connecting it both physically and functionally to the context, redesigning the public spaces, car and bike infrastructures, green areas, and parking grafting the design in the urban system composed of the city parks (Parco Suardi, Parco Marenzi, and Parco del Galgario), the cultural/residential hub of the former Montelungo-Colleoni Barracks, and the key road junctions of Via Cesare Battisti, Viale Muraine, Via Suardi, Via Frizzoni, and Via del Galgario. Maria Alessandra outlines the ethical and political vision behind the project, which aims to promote social cohesion: “Museums often intimidate citizens, especially teenagers.
