The cord is a metal pipe at the entrance of the 50th Venice Biennale of Art which proposes the idea of a net linking together fifteen italian cities, where the same object was installed.
These pieces contain and metaphorically transport informations about the Biennale reinforcing the idea of art as communication and communication as art.
The Cord inverts the normal fluxus which usually brings information to the people through IT, by inviting everybody to make a space experience to get information about the Venice Biennale.
The Cord is a steel cilinder 200 m long built with modular elements 1,25 m long and a diameter of 3 m. 6 to 12 modules of the cord have been settled in Venice and 12 italian tows in order to link them with the place of the exibition transforming Venice in a terminal for contemporary culture.
